Terms and Conditions of Use and Sale

By using the Lync app, you accept these terms. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1. Definitions
- Lync / the Platform : the mobile app and the apps-lync.com website
- A client : a user who books cleaning services through Lync
- A provider : an independent professional offering cleaning services on the platform
- Employer / Business : an entity managing contracts for several providers
- Service : a cleaning job booked and carried out through Lync
- Job : a service offer available to subscribed providers
2. Registration and account
To use Lync, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate, up-to-date information when registering
- Keep your sign-in credentials confidential
- Notify Lync immediately if your account is accessed without authorisation
Lync reserves the right to suspend or delete any account that breaches these terms.
3. Services and bookings (clients)
- Clients book services in the app by selecting a date, a time slot and tasks
- A confirmation is sent by push notification and email
- The client must be available or must have arranged access to their home
- Tasks are checked off in real time by the provider in the app
- The client receives a full summary at the end of the service
- A rating is requested after each completed service
4. Cancellations and refund policy
- Cancellation more than 24 h before : free, full refund
- Cancellation less than 24 h before : a cancellation fee may apply (up to 50% of the price)
- Provider no-show : full refund guaranteed
- Repeated abusive cancellation : the provider at fault has their account suspended and must pay a penalty
5. Provider subscriptions
- Starter plan — $29/month : 5 active clients, basic calendar, email support
- Pro plan — $59/month : 15 active clients, emergency replacement, priority support, advanced statistics
- Expert plan — $129/month : unlimited clients, team sub-accounts, API access, dedicated 24/7 support
- A free 30-day trial is available to new providers
- Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe
- You can cancel at any time — access is kept until the end of the paid period
- No refunds for months already started
6. Provider obligations
- Provide accurate information about their skills and availability
- Carry out booked services at the agreed time
- Check off completed tasks in real time in the app
- Maintain a minimum average rating (threshold set by Lync)
- Respect the client's home and belongings
- Not contact clients outside the platform
- Report any problem through the app
7. Payments
Lync earns its revenue exclusively from the monthly subscriptions paid by providers. Lync takes no commission on the services performed.
Payment for a service is settled directly between the client and the provider, on the terms they have agreed. Lync only facilitates the introduction.
Provider subscriptions are processed through Stripe. No bank card data is stored by Lync.
8. Provider verification
- Lync verifies the identity of every provider before their account is activated
- Lync may require a criminal record check on the provider
- These measures are intended to keep clients safe
- Lync reserves the right to refuse or suspend any provider who does not meet these requirements
9. Liability
Lync acts solely as a platform introducing clients and providers. Lync plays no part in paying for services, which is settled directly between client and provider. Providers are independent workers, not employees of Lync. Lync cannot be held liable for damage arising during a service.
10. Changes to these terms
Lync reserves the right to change these terms. Users will be notified by email and push notification. Continuing to use the app after that notice constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the province of Quebec, Canada. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Montreal, QC.
